Abstract
This book discusses all aspects of the uterus transplantation procedure in women who are childless because of a dysfunctional or missing uterus, from initial pre-operative investigations to follow-up after the uterine graft has been removed. All the international experts who are engaged in clinical activities and/or research in this field have contributed one or more of the book’s chapters. Since the first live birth following uterus transplantation was reported in Sweden in September 2014, the field has been rapidly evolving around the globe: the first cases in USA, Germany, China, Brazil, and Czech Republic were performed in 2016 and several other centres are preparing for clinical trials of uterus transplantation. Uterus transplantation is a subject that attracts the attention of many bioethicists, and like all other major procedures in transplantation surgery and assisted reproduction techniques, it is a complex process that requires a multidisciplinary team if it is to be successful. As such the book is a valuable resource not only for clinicians from many disciplines, but also for nurses, ethicists, psychologists and researchers.

Abstract
The volume provides an archive of some of the most beautiful illustrations ever made of the gravid uterus with fetus and placenta, which will serve future generations of investigators, educators, and students of reproduction. The approximately two hundred figures from over one hundred volumes included are from the late fifteenth through the nineteenth century. For each author whose work is depicted in this volume, we have used the first edition or first illustrated edition. In the commentary, each volume and illustration is placed in its historical perspective, noting both the significance of that image, but also some background on the life and work of the author. For most of the works cited, there are additional references for the reader who may wish to explore these in greater depth. This volume is a unique collection not only of these historical images, but also their place in the development of scientific study.

Abstract
This book presents the broad morphologic spectrum of the most commonly encountered diseases of the uterine corpus and cervix in an easy-to-use, practically relevant format. It emphasizes the morphologic and immunophenotypic features of disease entities, with some additional coverage of normal histology, but is not meant to be a comprehensive treatise on all aspects of uterine surgical pathology. The book is divided into 12 chapters that reflect broad clinicopathologic categorizations and presumed lines of differentiation, with 6 chapters each on uterine corpus and uterine cervix diseases. Short clinicopathologic summary descriptions are presented as figure legends for each entity, emphasizing the most salient information. The image selection focuses on classical appearances as well as less common morphologic variations. Selected images that depict classical immunophenotypes are also presented and discussed. The Atlas of Uterine Pathology serves as a very useful resource to practitioners and trainees of uterine surgical pathology, as well as to clinicians and investigators interested in the morphology of uterine diseases.

Abstract
Bringing together the most up-to-date information on congenital Müllerian anomalies, this comprehensive text explores advances in understanding the embryological causes of these malformations, the systems used to classify the many types of malformation that may be seen, and the field's current diagnosis, evaluation and management techniques. Surgical strategies, including minimally invasive techniques, are described in detail, with chapters divided into two sections: vertical anomalies, such as imperforate hymen, transverse genital septum, and cervical and Müllerian agenesis; and lateral anomalies, such as septate, unicornate and bicornate uterus, uterus didelphys and rare anomalies such as obstructed uterine horn and obstructed hemivagina. Aimed at helping to maintain the future reproductive needs of the patient utilizing assisted reproductive technologies, this book is an excellent reference for OB/GYN surgeons and reproductive medicine specialists treating both adolescent or adult patients with these congenital malformations.
Contents
Part I. Etiology and Diagnosis -- Chapter 1. Müllerian Anomaly Classification Systems -- Chapter 2. Diagnostic Approach to Müllerian Anomalies -- Part II. Vertical Anomalies -- Chapter 3. Abstract
Now in an updated edition, this is the most comprehensive book on modern ultrasound imaging in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and reproductive medicine. Fully revised and expanded, it covers emerging technologies possible with the improvement in ultrasound equipment. 3-D monitoring of ovarian follicles, bidirectional vibrant color and Doppler, and improved 3-D and 4-D imaging of reproductive structures are discussed. MRI-guided ultrasound procedures are covered, and comparisons of 3-D imaging with MRI imaging for uterine anomalies is reviewed with an emphasis on the advantages of 3-D performed in the gynecologist’s office, and as a less expensive modality. The overall approach of the original edition is maintained, starting with ultrasound safety and technique and diagnosis of the ovary, uterus and fallopian tubes (both normal and pathologic), followed by both male and female infertility and ART treatments and procedures. Ultrasound monitoring of follicular development, the endometrium, and as an aid in embryo transfer to maximize IVF success rates are reviewed. Topics new to this edition include updated information on the diagnosis of benign and malignant adnexal masses, 3-D follicle monitoring, and the diagnosis of adenomyosis and endometriosis, including deep inseminated endometriosis. Additionally, the evaluation of endometrial receptivity, the use of contrasts for fallopian tube patency, controversies regarding septate uterus versus arcurate uterus with the use of 3-D ultrasound, and 3-D ultrasound with saline infusion sonogram and early pregnancy ultrasound are all discussed. An excellent resource for reproductive medicine and ART specialists, gynecologists and ultrasonographers alike, Ultrasound Imaging in Reproductive Medicine, Second Edition covers all that clinicians need to know about the role of ultrasound, from the first time a woman comes into the clinic for treatment, including ART, to early pregnancy monitoring. See better, do ART better.
