Abstract
This book provides primary care physicians and their medical teams with the detailed information they need to offer a full range of women’s health procedures to their patients. Many primary care providers offer women’s health procedures in an office setting for a variety of reasons, from the value placed on continuity of care to the lack of access to specialty care that patients may experience in rural areas. Each chapter in this book is written by a primary care physician and outlines one women’s health procedure and its background information, indications, contraindications, complications, equipment, procedure steps, an office note, patient instructions and a patient handout. Tricks, helpful hints, key points, discussion questions, algorithms, and a wealth of illustrations are included through the book. This second edition is fully updated with the latest procedures and guidelines, ICD 10 coding information, and three new chapters on population health, contraceptive choice, and insertable contraceptive removal. Primary Care Procedures in Women’s Health, Second Edition, is an ideal reference for all providers—including family physicians, general internists, residents, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives and physicians assistants—to be competent and comfortable performing a spectrum of office-based, women’s health procedures.

Abstract
This book offers comprehensive information on modern approaches to vulvar lesions, taking into account recent management recommendations and employing the consensus terminology of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD). Further, it breaks with past misconceptions and myths, and explains in detail the modern approach. The aim is to help clinicians perform the differential diagnosis of vulvar conditions and implement the new recommended treatments. The core chapters of the book are arranged in accordance with lesion presentation: red lesions, white lesions, patches and plaques, papules and nodules, erosions and ulcers, blisters, etc. For each lesion, the multidisciplinary management is fully explained, including clarifications of the role of gynecologists, dermatologists, physical therapists, pain specialists, sex therapists, and others. Clinical case presentations and numerous illustrations of treatment procedures are included, supplemented by informative online videos. A separate chapter is devoted to vulvar pain, which is increasingly becoming recognized as a growing problem. Here, again the past approaches are replaced with new paradigms. All of the authors are acknowledged experts in the field and the editor is a past president of the ISSVD. The book will be of value for all vulvar specialists and a wide range of other clinicians.

Abstract
This book is a practical guide to the use of modern radiation therapy techniques in women with gynecological cancers. Step-by-step instruction is provided on simulation, contouring, and treatment planning and delivery for cancers of the cervix, endometrium, vagina, and vulva. Beyond external beam radiation delivery, full details are presented on three-dimensional brachytherapy at all sites for which it is applicable. Moreover, in-depth guidance is offered on the various advanced techniques of radiation delivery, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy, image guidance for external beam and brachytherapy, and stereotactic body radiotherapy. Radiation therapy is a critical component of the multidisciplinary management of gynecological tumors. With modern technology, both external beam radiation and brachytherapy can be delivered in a highly conformal way. This requires precise contouring and accurate planning techniques. In clearly describing the indications for and the delivery of quality radiation therapy for gynecological tumors, this book will benefit radiation oncologists, medical physicists, medical dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and radiotherapy residents.

Abstract
This book explores all aspects of preventive oncology of the female genital tract and provides readers with detailed insights on the topic. Preventive oncology has long been recognized as a pressing need, though formally few steps have been taken to actively promote it. The book’s respective chapters holistically cover the concept of cancer prevention for the female genital tract & breast. In addition, it explains the evidence-based value of each screening modality, and the rationale behind the recommended screening guidelines. In closing, the book highlights a wealth of recent evidence-based literature, making it a highly informative resource that will significantly broaden readers’ understanding of preventive oncology.

Adolescent Gynecology: A Clinical Casebook addresses the many intersecting considerations of gynecologic and reproductive health care for this population using a concise, case-based format. Organized in four sections, the first introduces chapters on adolescent confidentiality, puberty, and well care. Section II covers varied menstrual disorders, while Section III highlights issues in reproductive health care including sexually transmitted infection and adolescent pregnancy. Finally, Section IV addresses special populations of adolescents, including chapters on girls who have sex with girls, girls who are victims of abuse and girls with special health care needs and chronic health conditions. In each section common gynecologic health issues are discussed in the context of these clinical cases, provide the knowledge needed to further improve comprehensive care of adolescent patients. Adolescent Gynecology: A Clinical Casebook is a unique resource that delivers essential clinical information for Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology fellowship trainees, as well as for medical students, resident trainees, and primary care practitioners who are the front-line caregivers for adolescent girls.

Nowadays, due to such developments, the employment of minimally invasive techniques is a feature for every gynecological surgery service, being part of their daily routine. To the same extent, it is a requirement for every gynecological surgeon to be aware and up to date regarding these techniques and their uses. The book describes and discusses minimally invasive techniques in gynecological surgery by means of an evidence-based analysis, providing clinical correlations for a practical purpose. Techniques covered include vaginal radical trachelectomy, laparoscopic radical hysterectomy, robotic surgery in gynecological cancer, hysteroscopic myomectomy, LESS surgery, deep endometriosis surgery, and laparoscopic supra cervical hysterectomy. Some of the most renowned international references in minimally invasive surgery are included in this title, making Minimally Invasive Gynecology: an Evidence Based Approach fundamental reading for all gynecologists and gynecological surgeons.

Abstract
The Third Edition of Handbook of Evidence-Based Radiation Oncology updates and revises the previous successful editions and serves as a key reference for radiation oncology professionals. Organized by body site, concise clinical chapters provide easy access to critical information. Important "pearls" of epidemiology, anatomy, pathology, and clinical presentation are highlighted. The key elements of the work-up are listed, followed by staging and/or risk classification systems. Treatment recommendations are discussed based on stage, histology, and/or risk classification. Brief summaries of key trials and studies provide the rationale for the recommendations. Practical guidelines for radiation techniques are described and complications and follow-up guidelines are outlined. The Third Edition incorporates new key studies and trials to reflect current radiation oncology practice; includes the most recent staging systems; and features new color illustrations and anatomic atlases to aid in treatment planning. This book is a valuable resource for students, resident physicians, fellows, and other practitioners of radiation oncology.

Abstract
This book discusses the role of nuclear medicine in the diagnosis, staging, and treatment of patients with specific cancers. It presents the incidence, pathophysiologic and clinical aspects of the disease, the use of nuclear imaging in diagnosis, staging requirements, management of specific tumors, and surveillance after primary treatment of cancers. It addresses the various diagnostic/therapeutic options that are currently available or are most likely to become available in the near future according to a prioritized approach, thereby keeping to a minimum the number of diagnostic imaging procedures the patient is expected to undergo. Topics include basic science, clinical applications, radionuclide therapy, radioguided surgery, heart disease in the cancer patient, and adverse effects of cancer therapy. Each clinical chapter discusses the radionuclide procedures within an integrated framework, thereby identifying the information required for effective treatment of specific tumors. The book concludes with a series of cases that define and expand the didactic material in the clinical application chapters. Thoroughly updated and revised, the second edition incorporates advances in imaging and therapy and features the current staging guidelines of the American Joint Committee on Cancer. With contributions from a group of internationally distinguished practitioners, Nuclear Oncology: From Pathophysiology to Clinical Applications, Second Edition, is a valuable reference for nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, medicaláand surgical oncologists, and other clinicians involved in the care and management of cancer patients.
