This pamphlet explains what an HPN emergency plan is, what emergency supplies you should have ready, HPN during a power outage, how to clean your hands with sanitizer, how to run your HPN when your pump battery has run out (the gravity method), and HPN during an evacuation. The pamphlet also includes a Health Emergency Card, where you can write down your medical information, emergency contacts, type of vascular access and location, and your HPN order. Keep a copy of your Emergency Health Card in your HPN emergency pack at all times. Space to write down your individual flow rates for pump tubing via gravity is also included.
