The IWK is transforming our NICU from open-bay care sites to pri-vate, single family rooms. This is one of the largest and most complex redevelopment projects ever undertaken at the IWK. We are remaining open through re-development and must proceed safely – which means incorporat-ing a phased approach.
What is the Family Legal Health (FLH) program? The FLH program offers free legal assistance to eligible IWK Health Centre patients and family members when a legal issue is impacting the patient's health.
The Transition of Care Committee brings together youth, parents/caregivers, health care providers and community partners to improve the transition from pediatric to adult medical care. Areas of work may include shaping policy and practice, creating resources, program development, research and evaluation, strategic planning and work plan development. Please also refer to PL-0859 booklet "Getting ready for adult care - Parent / Caregiver Version" for more information about the program.
