Adrenal insufficiency happens when your adrenal glands do not make enough hormones. Your body needs the right amount of these hormones in order to live. Adrenal insufficiency may be permanent or temporary. Causes, symptoms, medication, and special dosage instructions for stressful times are provided.
"Code Status" are the words used by hospital staff to describe the procedures that can be performed on a patient if the heart stops or the lungs fail. This pamphlet explains all three code statuses: full code, no code/do not resuscitate, and comfort care/allow natural death.
